If someone is closed-minded enough to stereotype themselves, I don’t give them the respect of not holding them to every aspect of that stereotype.

If you tell me you’re a Barbie, you should not be offended when I assume you’re a slut.
If you tell me you’re ‘emo’ you should not be offended when I ask you why you haven’t killed yourself yet.
If you tell me you’re ‘gangsta’ you should not be offended when I ask what drugs I can buy from you.
And if you tell me you are ‘goth’ you should not be offended when I ask if you worship Satan.

And it’s not that I expect people that would otherwise fall into these categories to do those things, it is simply because if you have no better self expression or intelligence than to label yourself as something so simple and shallow, you’re probably ignorant enough to think you have to be a slut, sell drugs, cut, or worship Satan too.

What’s worse moreover is the people that ‘proudly’ give themselves a label and claim to be the epitome of that stereotype, and these people get angry when they see someone else they ASSUME is trying to be that stereotype. When in fact, most of the time, the assumed is simply expressing themselves, and you assume because they have a ring with an upside down cross they’re trying to be as ‘goth’ as you are. And my god you’re the king/queen of ‘goth’ so they’re disgusting and annoying.

I can’t stand people into all that stereotype business. It makes me crazy bro. Crazy.
But that being said, it’s all simply very immature and ignorant, despite most of them are in their twenties. It’s refreshing to know some people never make it out of the high school mindset isn’t it?
